Wes
Ward received a B.A. in Political Science from University of North
Carolina at Wilmington and is currently pursuing an MPA (Masters
of Public Affairs) with a concentration in Nonprofit Management
at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Wes is also
a cancer survivor, having been diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease
in 1993, which reoccurred in 1996 and again in 1998. He is now
cancer free. The story of Agents of Grace relates to journey Wes
and his went through as a result of the cancer. Wes helped found
Agents of Grace which began at Westover Church in Greensboro,
NC in 2002 and since has become its own 501 c 3 corporation. He
currently serves as the President of Agents of Grace and Director
of Local Ministries, at Westover Church. Wes serves on the board
of directors of the Volunteer Center and Room at the Inn in Greensboro,
NC. In addition, he consults with the Welfare Reform Liaison Project--a
faith-based welfare to work nonprofit in Greensboro, NC. Wes is
married to Beth and they have two daughters--Taylor and Ella.
